The Blackhawks are hosting ‘Try Hockey for Free’ events on Oct. 14 and Oct. 15 in partnership with 15 community ice rinks across Illinois and bordering suburbs of Indiana!

'Try Hockey for Free' is designed to help kids overcome the initial barriers to the sport and get them excited to come back for more. Each participating rink will host two sessions for those interested in learning the sport of hockey, one for kids six and under and one for those seven and up. Each participant will receive a jersey, t-shirt, hockey stick and a ticket to a Blackhawks game for the upcoming 2023-24 season. Skate rentals will also be provided courtesy of participating rinks; participants will be responsible for bringing their own helmet (e.g., bike helmet, hockey helmet, etc.).

Advanced registration for all events is strongly encouraged as very limited walk-ups will be accepted. Please register at a participating rink near you below!
