There were two words that could best describe the Stars' look in Tuesday's wild game against the Tampa Bay Lightning: Icy and clean.

Boy, are they ever.

For the first of three occasions this season at American Airlines Center, Dallas broke out its Adidas "Reverse Retro" uniforms -- an all-white fusion of past and present that pays homage to the club's 1999 Stanley Cup championship team.

Hintz misses Stars' game against Panthers with injury

Center held out of Dallas' lineup because of lower-body injury; Caamano, Gardner called up from taxi squad

Stars center Roope Hintz did not play in Wednesday's 3-0 shutout win over the Florida Panthers because of a lower-body injury.

The team announced Hintz's status shortly before the late afternoon puck drop at BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla. No timetable has been set for his return with two games remaining on this weeklong road trip.

Updated Stars jersey, uniform schedule for 2020-21 regular season

For the first time since donning those now-infamous, black-and-red alternates with the funny nickname in 2006, the Dallas Stars have multiple uniform options for home games this season.

Three, in fact.

In addition to its traditional Victory Green sweaters, the team will also wear both its "Blackout" third jerseys and 1999-inspired adidas "Reverse Retro" alternates at American Airlines Center.
