Alex Formenton buried the game-winning goal in overtime as Team Red beat Team White 4-3 in tonight's scrimmage at the Canadian Tire Centre.

After two periods of play left the score at 3-3, Formenton had the only goal in the extra frame, that was played for the entire five minutes, on a low wrister that hit the left post and went in at 2:07.
Team Red jumped out to a two-goal lead after the first period thanks to two power play goals. Braydon Coburn opened the scoring at 10:24 on a blast from just inside the blue line before Thomas Chabot doubled the lead at 15:52 as he used a Brady Tkachuk screen out front to beat Marcus Hogberg.
Team White came storming back early into the second as Austin Watson got his side on the board by banging in a rebound at 2:54 before Filip Chlapik's quick wrister from the slot 54 seconds later tied the game at 2-2.
Josh Brown restored Team Red's lead at 5:59 on a low wrist shot from the blue line that somehow navigated its way through traffic but Team White would find the tying goal with just 12.5 seconds left as Connor Brown deposited a rebound on the backhand out front to make it 3-3.
The five-minute overtime period was already scheduled but Formenton had the only goal as Team Red completed the 4-3 victory.
Matt Murray and Hogberg played the first period in goal while Joey Daccord and Kevin Mandolese had the second.
The line of Micheal Haley, J.C. Beaudin and Egor Sokolov switched teams after the first period, joining Team Red for the second frame.
