The Nashville Predators can snag a third consecutive victory when they host the Carolina Hurricanes (tonight at 7 p.m. CT).
The Preds (39-25-5) swept a home-and-home series with the Minnesota Wild with two shootout wins on Sunday and Tuesday. Nashville received both shootout-winning goals from Ryan Johansen. The Predators last played four days ago and have held full practices the last two days. Forward Filip Forsberg has been absent from both with maintenance days, according to Nashville Head Coach Peter Laviolette.
The Hurricanes (36-24-8) were beaten at home by the Winnipeg Jets on Friday night, 8-1. Goaltender Curtis McElhinney was in net last night for the Canes. Carolina topped Nashville, 6-3, on Jan. 13.
Nashville held an optional morning skate on Saturday, and were joined by Forsberg. Below is a Preds projected lineup based on this week's practices:
