In a quiet neighborhood in Franklin, Tennessee, the streets were crowded with cars sporting Preds license plates and bumper stickers.
Inside one of the homes, Predators' wives and girlfriends were hard at work transforming 19-year-old Krystal Adams's bedroom into a beach-themed getaway. Because of her battle with a rare brain tumor, the Predators, in partnership with Special Spaces, wanted to give Krystal the perfect space to relax and unwind.
"A child's room is an escape from their life-threatening conditions," Rhonda McCarthy, wife of Associate Coach Kevin McCarthy and Director of the Nashville chapter of Special Spaces said. "The Preds work with Special Spaces to guarantee every child will always have a space to escape and forget about their pain."
