The Nashville Predators ECHL affiliate Florida Everblades hoisted their second Kelly Cup in franchise history after securing a 4-1 series victory over the Toledo Walleyes on Saturday.
The ECHL championship is the first won by the Everblades since entering into affiliation with the Predators in May 2019 and their first since 2012.

The Everblades finished their season 42-20-6 to clinch the South Division title and a 2022 Kelly Cup Playoffs berth.
Florida got their cup run off to an exciting start, claiming a 4-2 series win over the Greenville Swamp Rabbits that saw the Everblades winning twice in overtime and once in double overtime.
From there, the Everblades swept the Jacksonville Icemen in the South Division Finals and earned a decisive 4-1 Eastern Conference Finals win to punch their ticket to the Kelly Cup Finals against the Walleyes.
Florida only dropped a single game in the series, and on Saturday, the Predators affiliate lifted their second Kelly Cup in franchise history.
Notable Everblades skaters who have made the Predators roster include Tanner Jeannot and Cole Smith.
Goaltender Tomas Vomacka, who signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the Predators in May 2021, is currently on the Everblades roster.
