Both the Predators and their partner, UnitedHealthcare, realize the importance of small businesses to the local community, and in order to celebrate and support those businesses, UHC is teaming up with collegiate and professional athletic organizations to highlight those organizations in their neighborhoods.
Thus, the Spotlight on Small Business was formed, and the first Preds honoree is Garner Therapy Services.

Founded in 2003, Garner Therapy Services aims to help their clients reach their fullest potential through high quality, play-based therapy and family involvement and education. They offer speech, language and occupational therapy services at their main office in the Old Harding Pediatrics building in West Meade/Belle Meade and at many preschools and independent schools throughout Nashville and Brentwood.
Made up of collaborators, parents, learners, storytellers and listeners, they believe in the power of play-based therapy and find joy in connecting with kids and watching them grow.

"I love my job," Garner Therapy Services Speech Language Pathologist Amanda Garner said. "Every day, I get to help children, their families and their teachers. All of us want connection - to understand and to be understood, to share our thoughts, fears, and joys with those around us. Childhood is full of wonder and kids want to talk about it. It's an awesome privilege to help children in Nashville learn to play and communicate more easily so that they can do the fun and functional things of childhood with their families and friends."
As a winner of the Small Business Spotlight, Garner Therapy Services will receive a Predators prize package including a 10-person suite to a game at Bridgestone Arena, a signed jersey, a Preds flag or yard sign, a banner, T-shirts for employees and more.
