After starting one of the most pivotal weeks of the season right with a thrilling 2-1 win over divisional rival Dallas on Tuesday, the Nashville Predators will look to build off that momentum and continue to climb the standings tonight when they host the Anaheim Ducks.
This is the second of three meetings between Nashville and Anaheim this season; it's the second and final at Bridgestone Arena. The Preds are 1-0-0 against Anaheim this season, picking up a 3-2 win on Nov. 22 in Nashville.

Tuesday's win over Dallas gave the Preds victories in two-straight outings, and after leapfrogging the Stars in the standings, Nashville will look to add to that total as the playoff push continues tonight against another fierce rival.
"It was a huge win for us," Preds Captain Roman Josi said Tuesday night after the win against the Stars. "There's a lot of big games this week and it's tight right now in the standings with teams behind us and the teams ahead of us are a couple points ahead of us in our division and it seems like all those teams keep winning. So, I think once you play them head to head, you want to bring your best effort and obviously get the win… This is definitely a good start."
"We continually talk to our group about playing our best when the stakes are at the highest," Preds Head Coach John Hynes said post-game Tuesday evening. "I think those are good situations for our guys, for our culture, for our mindset - to play our best when the stakes are the highest, and if you do that you're going to give yourself the best chance to be a good team down the stretch."
Preds forward Nick Cousins returned to the lineup Tuesday after missing seven games with a lower-body injury. Forward Matt Luff, as well as defensemen Philippe Myers and Mark Borowiecki (day-to-day), were scratched on Tuesday. The Preds did not practice on Wednesday, but they are expected to hold a morning skate prior to tonight's game.

The Good Guys:

Ryan Johansen (14) tallied a critical goal late in the third period and Josi (15) scored the game winner against the Stars with less than two minutes to play in regulation. Goaltender Juuse Saros made 22 saves and earned his 27th win of the season. As of games played through March 8, the Predators have seven skaters who have scored at least 11 goals, tied for the fourth-most among NHL teams.
Predators rookies have scored 29 goals, the most in the NHL this season. Nashville rookies have compiled 81 points and account for 17 percent of the team's points, both the second-most in the NHL in 2021-22.
Josi (15g-45a) sits at the top of the leaderboard in points with 60, followed by Matt Duchene with 51 (27g-24a) and Filip Forsberg with 46 (27g-19a). Mikael Granlund has 42 points (9g-33a), Johansen has 41 (14g-27a) and Tanner Jeannot has 32 (18g-14a). Goaltender Saros is now 27-17-3 in net.
