Tickets on sale for Syncrude Oil Country Championship presented by AECON

(Edmonton, AB) - Oilers Entertainment Group (OEG) announced today that Oilers legend and Hall-of-Fame goaltender Grant Fuhr will be returning as the Honorary Tournament Chair for the 3rd Syncrude Oil Country Championship presented by AECON. Tickets are now on sale for the seven-day event at the Edmonton Petroleum Golf & Country Club, returning July 30 - August 5, 2018 as an official competition stop on the Mackenzie Tour - PGA TOUR Canada circuit.
Daily tickets can be purchased for $20, group tickets are available for $15 (minimum 20 tickets) and weekly passes are available for $75 at OilCountryChampionship.com. Children 14 and under will receive complimentary admission.

The Oil Country Championship will ramp up on Tuesday, July 31 with the fan-favourite Celebrity Pro-Am featuring current Edmonton Oilers players, Oilers Alumni, including Fuhr, and other sport and entertainment celebrities including Canadian country music star Brett Kissel and men's curling Olympic gold medalist Marc Kennedy. A complete roster of celebrities will be announced in the coming weeks. The official Mackenzie Tour competition will then follow August 2 - 5, 2018. Raising support for charities and giving back to the community is a key priority for every Mackenzie Tour tournament. For the third year, the Syncrude Oil Country Championship presented by AECON will be in support of the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF).
As this year's beneficiary, the Oilers Foundation will be donating all net tournament funds to the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation in support of its Pediatric Procedure Room - a safe, private and non-threatening child-friendly pediatric suite for medical procedures.
