EDMONTON, AB - The Western Conference finalist Edmonton Oilers are preparing for another season of NHL hockey with today's announcement of the 2022-23 schedule.
The Oilers will renew their quest for the Stanley Cup with their home opener versus the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday, Oct. 12. The Blue & Orange have started the season at home 32 previous times with a record of 20-9-3 in those games and are 4-2-0 in season openers against the Canucks.
The early Pacific Division matchup against Vancouver launches a six-game homestand to start the season with the Calgary Flames in town on Saturday, Oct. 15 for the Battle of Alberta.
The Buffalo Sabres (Oct. 18), Carolina Hurricanes (Oct. 20), St. Louis Blues (Oct. 22) and Sidney Crosby's Pittsburgh Penguins (Oct. 24) round out October's home schedule before the club hits the road to take on the Blues, Chicago Blackhawks and Flames to close out the month.

November starts with another trio of home games versus the Nashville Predators (Nov. 1), New Jersey Devils (Nov. 2) and Dallas Stars (Nov. 5) in advance of road games in Washington, Tampa Bay, Carolina and Florida. The Los Angeles Kings make their first visit to Edmonton following last season's first-round, seven-game playoff series on Nov. 16 and the Vegas Golden Knights visit for the first time on Nov. 19. A week-long trip to play the Devils, New York Islanders and New York Rangers is followed by a home date with the Panthers on Nov. 28.
December sees the club play eight home games, tied with March for the most dates at Rogers Place. The Oilers welcome Montreal (Dec. 3), Washington (Dec. 5), Arizona (Dec. 7) and Minnesota (Dec. 9) to start the month, with return visits by the Blues (Dec. 15) and Canucks (Dec. 23) along with games against the Anaheim Ducks (Dec. 17) and a New Year's Eve tilt versus the Winnipeg Jets.
The Oilers welcome 2023 with another three-game home-ice set against the Seattle Kraken (Jan. 3), New York Islanders (Jan. 5) and the Stanley Cup champion Colorado Avalanche (Jan. 7). After an extended West Coast trip to play the Kings, Ducks, Sharks and Golden Knights, the Oilers wrap up January with four of five games at home versus Seattle (Jan. 17), Tampa Bay (Jan. 19), Columbus (Jan. 25) and Chicago (Jan. 28).

Following the NHL All-Star break in early February, the Oilers see just four home opponents in the year's shortest month with the Red Wings (Feb. 15), Rangers (Feb. 17), Flyers (Feb. 21) and Bruins (Feb. 27) making their respective trips to Edmonton.
March features eight home games with the Toronto Maple Leafs (March 1) and Winnipeg Jets (March 3) kicking things off, while the Ottawa Senators (March 14) and Dallas Stars (March 16) visit Edmonton midway through the month. Western Conference rivals San Jose (March 20), Arizona (March 22), Vegas (March 25) and Los Angeles (March 30) also visit Rogers Place.
The regular season comes to a close with two of six games at home in April 1 against Anaheim (April 1) and San Jose (April 13). The remaining four games include another West Coast trip to play the Kings, Ducks and Sharks, as well as the team's second trip to Colorado to face the reigning champs.
