EDMONTON, AB - Have a week, Zach Hyman!
The Oilers forward scored four goals and five assists for nine points in three games last week -- all Edmonton victories -- to earn the NHL's First Star of the Week honour.
The 30-year-old tallied a goal and two assists last Tuesday against the Seattle Kraken, two goals last Thursday against the Tampa Bay Lightning and one goal with three assists on Saturday against the Vancouver Canucks to bring him up to 24 goals and 32 assists for 56 points in 47 games this season.
With his four-point night on Saturday, Hyman surpassed his previous career-high point total of 54 from his first season with the Oilers last year. He needs three more goals to match his career-best 27 tallies from the 2021-22 campagn.
As of Monday, Hyman was tied for 13th in league scoring with former Toronto Maple Leafs teammate Mitch Marner and Kirill Kaprizov of the Minnesota Wild.
