University of Denver forward Tyson McLellan is in Jasper with the Oilers prospects for Development Camp.
Tyson is the son of Oilers Head Coach Todd and had a solid first season of college in Denver, as his team defeated Minnesota-Duluth 3-2 to win the 2017 NCAA National Championship.
"It was awesome in my first year of college," McLellan said following the first skate of Camp. "We had a great team and great coaching staff that kind of meshed together the whole year."
McLellan put up five goals and 12 points in 43 games as a freshman and is joined by his head coach in Denver Jim Montgomery. Montgomery is taking in the week to learn some things himself.
"We had a really special group from the beginning so it was good to top it off like that," said McLellan.
