In sticking with the solar eclipse theme on Monday, the NHL Network predicted what records could be eclipsed in the upcoming 2017-18 NHL season.
Playing the part of a prognosticator, three-time Stanley Cup winning NHL defenceman and current New Jersey Devils colour analyst Ken Daneyko believes Oilers netminder Cam Talbot could exceed his win total from 2016-17.
Talbot posted a 42-22-8 record last season in 73 games played. He ended the year with a .919 save percentage and 2.39 goals-against average, also registering seven shutouts.
Talbot surpassed Grant Fuhr for the most single-season wins by an Oilers netminder with 42, which tied for most in the League.
