EDMONTON, AB - The Oilers returned to the ice at Rogers Place on Thursday afternoon to begin preparations for a visit from the Detroit Red Wings on Friday.
On Wednesday, the Oilers received a five-point night from captain Connor McDavid and a strong 49-save performance from goaltender Mikko Koskinen in a 6-3 win over the Philadelphia Flyers that improved the club's record to 6-1-0.
Oilers Head Coach Dave Tippett revealed post-game that defenceman Joel Persson will miss the next seven-to-10 days after being placed in concussion protocol.
