Bear named WHL Player of the Week

Ethan Bear scored 10 points and helped his team to a 3-2-0-0 record

Seattle Thunderbirds defenceman and Oilers prospect Ethan Bear was named the WHL Player of the Week for the week ending February 19, 2017.

Bear scored 10 points (4-6-10) in five games, pushing his Thunderbirds to a 3-2-0-0 record during that span. The Ochapowace, SK, product had a four-point night in a 5-3 win against the Portland Winterhawks.

The blueliner currently sits second in the League in goals (25) and points (25-37-62) among defencemen. 

Bear was taken in the fifth-round (124-overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft.
