Goalie Jordan Binnington can become the fifth rookie goalie in NHL history with a winning streak of at least 10 games, joining Ross Brooks of the Boston Bruins (12 games, 1973-74), George Hainsworth of the Montreal Canadiens (11, 1926-27), Rogie Vachon of the Canadiens (10, 1967-68) and Bill Durnan of the Canadiens (10, 1943-44). Binnington has a 1.32 goals-against average, .947 save percentage and three shutouts in his past nine starts.
The Blues, who have outscored opponents 43-16 in their 11 consecutive wins and haven't trailed in 493:42 since Feb. 5, are in third place in the Central Division, six points behind the Nashville Predators.
Forward Brayden Schenn, who sustained an upper-body injury in a 3-2 overtime win against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday, will not play.
The Stars, who hope to end a three-game losing streak, hold the first wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Western Conference, two points ahead of the Colorado Avalanche and the Chicago Blackhawks. Dallas has been outscored 14-3 and shut out twice in the three losses.
