Sharks at Islanders preview

Beauvillier, a first-round pick (No. 28) at the 2015 NHL Draft, has one goal in four games this season.
Beauvillier hasn't played since a 3-2 loss at the Anaheim Ducks on Oct. 11. He will replace forward Joshua Ho-Sang, who was benched for most of the third period and did not play in overtime of the Islanders' 4-3 shootout win at the New York Rangers on Thursday.
The Sharks will play their second game in as many nights following a 3-0 win at the New Jersey Devils on Friday. It's the second of a five-game road trip for San Jose, which played its first five games of the season at home.
It's also the second time in eight days the Sharks and Islanders will play against each other; New York won 3-1 at SAP Center on Oct. 14.

Players to watch

Sharks forward Joe Pavelski has scored in back-to-back games. They were his first two goals of the season; he has four points in six games.
Islanders forward Brock Nelson scored his team-leading fourth goal on Thursday. He has five points in seven games.

Status report

DeBoer confirmed after the game Friday that Dell will make his third start of the season and second against the Islanders; he made 20 saves last Saturday. … The Islanders will dress 11 forwards and seven defensemen for a second straight game. … Mayfield is "a little banged up," according to Weight, so Seidenberg will play for the first time since the season opener at the Columbus Blue Jackets on Oct. 6.
