Dell was in the goal usually used by the starter during the morning skate and was the first goaltender off the ice. … Darling will be the backup after a one-game conditioning assignment with Charlotte of the American Hockey League. He has not played an NHL game this season after sustaining a lower-body injury during the preseason.
