The Ducks, 1-1-3 in their past five games, will play eight of their next 10 games at Honda Center, where they are 10-4-2. "You have to win those games to take advantage of it," coach Randy Carlyle said. "And we know there's a little bit more practice time. We'll have some more time at home, and hopefully our group is prepared to come to practice and, again, get better." Carlyle dressed seven defensemen in a 3-2 overtime loss at the Vancouver Canucks on Friday and said he may do so again Sunday. Should Carlyle opt for the usual grouping of 12 forwards and six defensemen, defenseman Korbinian Holzer likely would be the scratch in favor of top defense prospect Brandon Montour. Defenseman Shea Theodore was sent to San Diego of the American Hockey League on Sunday. "We made a decision based upon that we're pretty much all healthy, we're only going to carry one extra defenseman," Carlyle said. "We know [Theodore] will be back. It's not a question of if, it's just when. And it gives us an opportunity to take a longer look at Montour here, who was recalled. … Kind of get more up to speed on where he's at in his development."
