Edmonton snapped Vegas' seven-game home winning streak on Jan. 13 and is 2-0-0 against the Golden Knights. However, the Oilers are on a four-game losing streak and are 2-5-1 in their past eight games. Edmonton is in danger of missing the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the 11th time in 12 seasons; the Oilers trail the Calgary Flames by 16 points for third place in the Pacific Division and the Minnesota Wild by 18 points for the second wild card spot in the Western Conference. Vegas has alternated wins and losses in its past six games and is 7-4-0 in its past 11. The Golden Knights are 20-4-2 at home but have not won back-to-back games at T-Mobile Arena since winning seven in a row from Dec. 14 through Jan. 7. Vegas leads the Nashville Predators by one point for the conference lead and has a 10-point lead on the second-place San Jose Sharks in the Pacific Division.
