The Red Wings did not hold a morning skate Saturday. … Jakub Vrana, a forward who had shoulder surgery in September, skated after Detroit's practice Friday. Vrana has not been cleared to shoot, coach Jeff Blashill said; Vrana has missed 34 games and is expected to be out at least another three weeks. … Stecher, a defenseman, also skated after practice Friday but will miss his 24th straight game. ... Petersen is expected to make his first start since Dec. 6; he was in COVID-19 protocol Dec. 18-28.
