The 22-year-old forward was acquired by the Coyotes in a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks for forward Brendan Perlini and center Dylan Strome on Sunday.
Arizona, looking to avoid its fifth straight loss, is 0-3-1 in its past four games and 2-6-2 in its past 10. The Coyotes have scored two goals or fewer in six consecutive games.
The Wild seek their third win in a row after going 1-3-0 in their previous four games. Goalie Devan Dubnyk is expected to start after missing a 4-2 win against the Winnipeg Jets on Friday because of an illness.

Players to watch

Coyotes forward Clayton Keller has three points (one goal, two assists) in his past eight games and leads Arizona with 14 points (six goals, eight assists) in 22 games.
Wild defenseman Mathew Dumba has nine points (five goals, four assists) in a six-game point streak and leads NHL defensemen with 10 goals.
