HELLEBUYCK IN THE ZONE
After a night off in Toronto on Thursday, Connor Hellebuyck returns between the pipes for the Jets tonight. Hellebuyck earned the break with his performance in Buffalo on Wednesday night when he held his team in the game through two periods plus three huge stops during a Sabre power play in overtime. The 28-year-old has won seven of his last ten starts and has allowed two goals or less in three of his last four appearances. Interim head coach Dave Lowry liked the performance by his goaltender on Wednesday night but wants to see his team play better in front of Hellebuyck tonight.

ANOTHER GAME FOR BARRON
Morgan Barron made his Jets debut Thursday in Toronto and played with Dominic Toninato and Jansen Harkins. It was his third game in as many nights, as he had played back-to-back games with the Manitoba Moose in the AHL. Barron was part of the Jets trade with the Rangers that saw Andrew Copp head to New York at the deadline. One of his best friends is Manitoba Moose forward Jeff Malott, the two were teammates at Cornell of the NCAA. Barron's size and skill is something the organization values and will be needed during the stretch run as each game has more of a playoff feel.
FINAL MONTH
The Jets play 13 games in 28 days in April. Seven of the games are at home, while six are on the road. Eight of the 13 games feature a team currently in a playoff position, including six of the last seven games. This homestand will feature two playoff teams in Los Angeles (tonight) and Colorado (Friday). Winnipeg will get a much-needed three-day break after tonight's game before taking on the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday.
SCOREBOARD WATCHING
Once again, the Jets got no help from the out-of-town scoreboard on Friday, Vegas beat Seattle 5-2 and moved back into the final wild card spot in the West. The Jets hold a game in hand on the Golden Knights and are four points up on Winnipeg. Dallas is in action tonight; the Stars visit San Jose and have three games in hand on the Jets plus have a three-point advantage in the standings.
KINGS SHOT VOLUME
The Kings rank fifth in the league in SF/GP and lead the league in SA/GP. Of the 70 games the Kings have played this season, they have either outshot (50 times) or been tied in shots (four times) with their opponent 54 times (30-15-9). The Kings recently outshot their opponent in a franchise record 21 consecutive games (last time they were outshot was Jan. 1, 2022, vs. PHI). The 21-game streak was tied for the second longest streak in NHL history.
