THE RETURN OF EHLERS
After a six-week absence thanks to a knee injury, Jets winger Nikolaj Ehlers will step back into the lineup at a perfect time with Winnipeg facing Dallas tonight. Ehlers will join Adam Lowry and Andrew Copp on the third line this evening. It's the second straight game that the Jets will be welcoming a top six forward to the group and this will allow interim head coach Dave Lowry some more flexibility of moving forwards up and down the lineup. Ehlers brings speed and finish and that could be the difference in a tightly contested game.

ONE GOAL GAMES
One thing you know for certain when the Jets and Stars get together especially this season, is that the game will go to extra time. All three meetings between the Stars and Jets have gone to overtime and/or a shootout. Dallas sits six points ahead of the Winnipeg in the standings and do hold a game in hand on the Jets.

KEY SAVE AT IMPORTANT TIMES
The last two games Winnipeg has received a momentum changing save from their goaltenders. Sunday afternoon in Glendale, Eric Comrie made a huge save on Loui Ericsson with the Jets trailing 3-2 to start the third period. Three minutes later, Blake Wheeler tied the game and Winnipeg went on to win 5-3. Tuesday night in Winnipeg, with the game tied at four in the second period, Connor Hellebuyck stopped a Rem Pitlick penalty shot. 18 seconds later, Andrew Copp would score a power play goal and the Jets never looked back. They will continue to need key saves in key moments to push their way back.
PP PICKING UP
For the first time since relocation, the Jets scored four power play goals in one game and missed out tying the franchise record by one. They ended up 4-for-6 on the night against the Montreal Canadiens and that was the difference in a high scoring affair at Canada Life Centre Tuesday night. Now Winnipeg is 21-for-83 with the man advantage over their last 26 games (25.3%). Dallas comes into the night having allowed a power play goal in three of its last five games. But over their past 12 games, Dallas has blanked the opposition power play nine times.
ON THE BACK OF BENN
Stars captain Jamie Benn shares first on Dallas with three goals and paces the team with six points (3-3=6) in three games against the Jets this season. Benn is currently riding a four-game goal streak (4-3=7) and has logged points (5-3=8) in five of the last six games against them. Benn has registered 16 points (9-7=16) over his last 14 games against the Jets and has 39 points (18-21=39) in 37 career games against Winnipeg.
