FACEOFF IMPROVEMENT
After an impressive performance in the faceoff circle on Thursday against the Calgary Flames, the Jets took a step back last night against the Leafs in the 3-1 loss at Toronto. The Leafs won over 65 per cent of the draws, Winnipeg went 4-20 in their own end and that led to a lot of offensive opportunities for Toronto.

BROSSOIT DEBUT
Connor Hellebuyck was brilliant on Monday night but will watch from the bench as the Jets are playing on back-to-back nights. Laurent Brossoit will get his first start of the season tonight against the Sens. Brossoit's last four starts were very good after a slower start to the 2019-20 as he went 2-1-1 with a .933 save percentage. He won both starts against Ottawa last season.
LONG RUN AGAINST THE SENS
This is the first of three straight games against the Sens as they experience the first true look at the baseball type schedule the NHL has set-up this season. Ottawa has a lot of young talent with some solid veterans sprinkled in throughout their lineup.
"Their competition level is really high." said Jets head coach Paul Maurice on Tuesday afternoon.
SLOW START BUT POWER PLAY IMPROVED
With no Patrik Laine again for a second consecutive game, the Jets top power play unit will once again be Josh Morrissey, Mark Scheifele, Blake Wheeler, Kyle Connor and Paul Stastny. Monday against the Leafs, Winnipeg did not generate a lot on their first couple of man advantages but they looked a lot better in the third period and were denied by Frederik Andersen.
STANLEY DEBUT SOLID
Logan Stanley's NHL debut was a success. The 2016 first round pick looked comfortable alongside Nathan Beaulieu playing 11:19 and recording three shots on goal, one hit and one takeaway. Look for Stanley to be a bit more aggressive on the physical side of things tonight against Ottawa.
