Nazar's tally was assisted by Patrick Kane and Sam Rinzel. The goal gave Nazar points in consecutive games after recording a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 4-2 victory over the St. Louis Blues.

SODERBLOM REACHES 3,000 SAVES

Arvid Soderblom made 15 saves in Thursday's contest and reached a career milestone in the process.

Entering the game needing just one save to reach the mark, Soderblom became the 12th goaltender in franchise history to record 3,000 saves as a Blackhawk. The Swedish netminder made his second appearance of the season after stopping 26 shots against the Utah Mammoth on Oct. 1.

Soderblom entered the night with 113 career appearances for Chicago and recorded his first NHL shutout last season on March 1 at Utah.

RINZEL, KANE HELP SET UP NAZAR

Sam Rinzel and Patrick Kane each picked up assists on Frank Nazar's third-period goal.

Rinzel collected the secondary helper after scoring his first goal of the season and first career power-play goal in Tuesday's victory over the St. Louis Blues. The assist gives the defenseman points in consecutive appearances.

For Kane, the helper was his first assist since returning to the Blackhawks this season. The Buffalo native now sits one assist shy of tying Phil Housley's NHL record for assists by an American-born player. Kane entered the evening with 892 career assists and is also eight away from becoming the first American-born player to reach 900 career assists.
