HOSSA RETIRES A BLACKHAWK

Before the game on Thursday night, Hall of Famer and three-time Cup champion Marian Hossa will sign a ceremonial one-day contract to retire as a Chicago Blackhawk. Hossa will put pen to paper at 6:15 p.m. in the United Center Atrium and all ticketed fans are encouraged to attend. Hossa will also be recognized with a special in-game moment fans won't want to miss early in the first period.
A first ballot Hall of Fame inductee in 2020, Hossa signed with Chicago on July 1, 2009 and helped transform the Blackhawks, winning three Cups as one of the elite two-way players in the NHL. The Stara Lubovna, Slovakia native posted 415 points (186G, 229A) in 534 career regular-season games with Chicago and added 73 points (21G, 52A) in 107 Stanley Cup Playoff games with the Blackhawks.

VS. SEATTLE

This evening marks the Blackhawks and Kraken's first game facing off in the United Center. Chicago has points in both road matchups this year. In the team's most recent game on Jan. 17, Dominik Kubalik led the Blackhawks with two points (1G, 1A) in a 3-2 shootout loss. Chicago defeated the Kraken 4-2 in the Blackhawks first-ever trip to Seattle on Nov. 17.

20/20 VISION

Dylan Strome scored his 20th tally of the season on Sunday against Arizona, reaching the 20-goal plateau for the second time in his career. He scored 20 goals when he split the season between the Arizona Coyotes and Blackhawks during the 2018-19 campaign. Strome is the third Blackhawk this season to hit the 20-goal mark, joining Alex DeBrincat (39) and Patrick Kane (22).

GOAL KEEPER

Alex DeBrincat scored his 39th goal of the season on April 1 in Tampa. Should he reach the plateau this year, it would be his second 40-goal season (41: 2018-19). Only three players have had multiple 40-goal seasons for Chicago before age 25: Jeremy Roenick (4x), Al Secord (2x) and Steve Larmer (2x). Only five U.S.-born players have had multiple 40-goal seasons before age 25: Auston Matthews (4x), Jeremy Roenick (4x), Pat LaFontaine (3x), Keith Tkachuk (3x) and Jimmy Carson (2x).
DeBrincat's 39 goals this year rank eighth in the NHL and his 14 power-play goals share fifth in the league.

ONE TIMERS

Seth Jones notched his 42nd assist of the season on Sunday against the Coyotes, setting a new career high (41, 2017-18 w/ CBJ).
Sam Lafferty posted a career-high seven hits on Sunday against Arizona.
Calvin de Haan's 163 blocked shots this season pace the NHL.
