Blackhawks Insider
is back!
The official podcast of the Chicago Blackhawks returns and in the latest episode, Senior Writer Chris Kuc and Blackhawks TV's Adam Burish and Eric Lear join Carter Baum to dive deep into Chicago's busy offseason thus far and how the roster is beginning to take shape for the 2019-20 season.

"Stan Bowman detailed what his plan was going to be," Kuc said in this week's episode. "(He said) 'I'm going to retool this team through trades and through some low-key free agent signings,' which is exactly what he's done, because you overpay on July 1, and he didn't do that here."
Recorded before the Robin Lehner signing late on July 1, Adam Burish explains why another Blackhawks free-agent signing, Ryan Carpenter, is a perfect depth fit for the offense.
"He's going to finish every hit. He's going to battle every faceoff," Burish said. "Jeremy (Colliton) is going to pull him in the office and say, 'Here is what I need out of you. I need you to have four hits tonight. I need you to be great on special teams. I need you to block shots. And I need you to be a great faceoff guy for us.' He's going to go out there and do that perfectly every single night...So his teammates and coaching staff are going to love this guy."
