San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Mike Grier announced today updates and additions to the Sharks Hockey Operations Staff.
New Roles & Titles:
Eric Pinsky – Assistant Video Coach, Sharks

Nathan Airey – Emergency Backup Goaltender
Pinsky has been promoted from Video Coach and Manager of Hockey Operations, San Jose Barracuda to Assistant Video Coach with the Sharks. This is his first season in the NHL, and enters his fifth year within the organization.
While with the Barracuda, Pinsky worked closely with Head Coach John McCarthy and his staff, contributing in multiple capacities, from handling the team’s primary video coach and hockey operations duties, to overseeing the Barracuda travel logistics for all road games.
Prior to joining the organization, he spent six years with the ECHL’s Idaho Steelheads in various roles. Most recently, he served as the Steelheads’ video coach and occasionally joined the bench during home games while completing his graduate studies at Boise State.
The San Jose native and former Jr. Shark played briefly in the NAHL with Aberdeen before skating four seasons of ACHA Division II hockey with Boise State.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in media production and a master’s degree in athletic leadership, both from Boise State.
Woodard is entering his first NHL season. Last year, he served as Head Equipment Manager for the Barracuda following two years as the team’s assistant. He is in charge of overseeing the team’s equipment operations, including inventory, sticks, skates, and steel management.
A graduate of the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management, Woodard began his career in hockey on the business side with the San Diego Gulls in 2019 before transitioning into the equipment field as a locker room assistant in 2022. He also gained experience in minor league baseball, serving as Assistant Clubhouse Manager for the Inland Empire 66ers, the Low-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels.
Greenberg will primarily work with Mike Potenza and the medical staff on all physical therapy services and rehabilitation of Sharks players. He brings more than 25 years of experience in sports medicine, rehabilitation, and healthcare leadership.
Throughout his career, Scott has worked with athletes across the competitive spectrum, including elite NCAA Division I athletes, Olympians, and professional athletes. His clinical expertise includes injury prevention and rehabilitation, return-to-sport testing and performance assessment, running medicine, lower extremity biomechanics, and orthotic management.
Prior to joining the Sharks, Greenberg spent more than two decades with UF Health and the University of Florida, including serving as a physical therapist for Florida Gators Athletics. In that role, he worked alongside sports medicine and performance professionals in the care and rehabilitation of high-level collegiate athletes and gained extensive experience managing the demands associated with returning athletes safely and effectively to elite competition. His clinical interests have centered on sports rehabilitation, objective return-to-sport testing, injury-risk reduction, lower extremity biomechanics, running medicine, and orthotic intervention.
In addition to his clinical work, Scott has been deeply involved in the education and development of the next generation of sports and orthopedic physical therapists. He served as Director of UF Health’s Sports and Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Programs, where he mentored residents, helped develop curriculum, and prepared physical therapists for advanced practice in sports and orthopedic rehabilitation. He has also been an invited educator at the state and national levels, presenting on topics related to sports rehabilitation, running medicine, injury prevention, biomechanics, and athlete performance.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Sciences from the University of Florida in 1996 before earning his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Slippery Rock University in 1999. He later earned his Master of Business Administration, complementing his clinical background with extensive experience in healthcare leadership, operations, and organizational management. Scott is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Certified Performance and Sport Scientist (CPSS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), further supporting his expertise in the integration of rehabilitation, sports science, performance testing, and athlete development.
Burt joins the Sharks in his first professional role for a hockey organization, previously serving as Player Development Coach/Mentor for various junior hockey teams in the Total Package Hockey Academy. During this time, he also worked as a Video Coach with Force IQ Hockey in the 2024-25 season. Burt also spent one season as a scout for the Chippewa Steel in the North American Hockey League in 2020-21.
Burt also played professionally for several different clubs at both the North American and European levels. He played for Rochester Institute of Technology for four seasons, accumulating 138 points (43 goals, 95 assists) across 147 career games, helping the school win the Atlantic Hockey Association (AHA) Championship in 2009-10, and was a regular season champion for consecutive seasons from 2009-2011. He was named the tournament MVP in 2009-10 and named to the Third All-Conference Team.
At the professional level, he played for the Ontario Reign and Florida Everblades across four seasons between 2011-12 and 2014-15, appearing in 175 ECHL games and scoring 115 points (15 goals, 100 assists). He also played in two seasons for the Manchester Monarchs and Rochester Americans in the American Hockey League, appearing in 10 total games, scoring nine points (one goal, eight assists). After his stint in the North American professional leagues, he went on to play in four more seasons in Europe before retiring in 2019.
Holske joins the Sharks after nearly a decade of amateur work in both the collegiate and amateur leagues across the United States. He is currently the General Manager/Head Coach of the South Shore Kings of the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) in the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC). Prior to the 2022-23 season, he was promoted to the role to become the youngest head coach in the NCDC that year at 31 years old. Since he took over the reigns, the team has won the championship twice (2023-24, 2025-26), were back-to-back regular season championships in 2024-25 and 2025-26, and finished as the league finalist twice, helping the team in his first year as Head Coach to appear for the first time in the Dineen Cup Finals. The team finished with an identical 44-7-3 record in the last two seasons.
He’s been in the South Shore Kings organization since the 2016-17 season, working in various roles including Assistant General Manager (2019-20-2021-22), assistant coach, and goaltending coach.
Previously, he served as Sioux City Musketeers Assistant General Manager/Dir. Of Scouting in the United States Hockey League from 2023-24 through 2025-26, starting within the organization as a scout in the 2019-20 season.
Among other roles, Holske has spent time with Milton Academy as assistant coach from 2016-22, helping the organization to three Independent School League (ISL) championships, and was a scout with NHL Central Scouting as New England Regional scout from 2023-26.
Airey joins the Sharks as the emergency back up goaltender for the team. Airey previously spent the last three seasons with the University of Minnesota, appearing in 35 NCAA games, recording a 2.86 goals-against average (GAA), .893 save percentage (SV%), and a 16-11-3 record with one shutout. His best season came in 2024-25, where he posted a 2.47 GAA across 19 games along with a .900 SV% and a 12-3-2 record, helping Minnesota win the Big Ten Regular Season Championship. He held an unbeaten streak over his first 12 games (10-0-2) and won each of his first eight starts, and recorded his first point against Michigan State on Dec. 13.
Over his NCAA he was named to the Academic All-Big Ten Team twice (2024-25, 2025-26) and was the Big Ten Conference Second Star of the Week for the period ending Dec. 10.
He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2026 with a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural and Food Business Management.
