There were a flurry of rumors from the early morning hours and, they ended up being true.
The Seattle Kraken selected Alex True in today's NHL Expansion Draft which took place at Gas Works Park in Seattle, Washington.

True, who played for the Seattle Thunderbirds from 2014-2017, originally signed with San Jose in 2018.

The 24-year-old appeared in 19 games with the Sharks over the past two seasons, registering five assists.
He also appeared in 203 games over three seasons with the American Hockey League's San Jose Barracuda, where he scored 59 goals and added 69 assists.
Now, the Sharks look ahead to the NHL Draft, which takes place on Friday, July 23 at 5 p.m. PT (Round 1; ESPN2) and Saturday, July 24 at 8 a.m. (Round 2-7; NHL Network).
