With Game 1 in the rearview, the Nashville Predators are looking to bounce back tonight in Game 2 against the Colorado Avalanche.
Tuesday's 7-2 loss to begin the Round One series didn't sit well with Nashville, and after a practice on Wednesday and more preparation on Thursday morning, the Preds are ready for the chance to even things up before heading back home for Games 3 and 4.
Connor Ingram will make his first-career postseason start tonight for Nashville, and the Predators are hoping his play - combined with a better effort in all areas of the ice - will lead to a win in just a few hours.

Here are some of the best quotes from the Preds heading into Game 2 in Colorado.
Preds forward Mikael Granlund on how they need to start Game 2:
"We are playing against a really good team. They play fast and they have a lot of skill. In the beginning, we've got to really execute with the puck and try to make them defend a little bit too. It's just about just being solid and - in this building - we know they're going to come out hard, but that's the beauty of the playoffs and the building going crazy. So, it should be a fun start again."

Granlund on how the Preds have been able to bounce back this season and how they go about doing so again:
"We all know the way we need to play to be successful, and there's obviously some things we can do better from the last game, but it's all about just preparing for the next one. There's a lot of character in our group, so obviously we need to do a good job with the start. That was a tough one in the last game. So, it should be a really fun one. We get the chance to play in this building again and try to do something special."
Preds Head Coach John Hynes on the benefit of having goaltender Connor Ingram start Game 2:
"He's a guy that we believe is an NHL goalie… Coming into this year, he was to be able to come in and really carry the load on a playoff team in the American Hockey League [in Milwaukee]. He did a really good job with that. He spent a lot of time last summer making some changes. We believe he's an NHL goalie, and I think he came in last game and played pretty well. We knew when [Juuse Saros] wasn't going to be there that we felt that we had two guys that would give us a chance to win, and I think that the fact that he came in made some good saves and he saw variety of different things where he had some point-blank shots, he had some odd-man rushes, some traffic and things like that; he looked calm in there."

Hynes on what the Preds need to do differently to have a better start in Game 2:
"You need to keep things simple early in the hard areas. The ability to get out of your own zone from some wall plays and in the danger areas of the ice, to make sure that you're setting your game up where you can and you can play where you want. [Make sure] momentum swings don't change from turnovers or long extended time in the D-zone or early power plays. Things like that, that can get the other team momentum and can get the fans going. The [fans are] going to be excited either way. But I think when we come out and we're good in those keys, that should give us a good chance to establish our game."
