Preds Training Camp Day Four: Scrimmage Time

Fans of the Nashville Predators came out to the Ford Ice Center in droves on Sunday to get an autograph, snap a photo with Gnash and see firsthand many of the future Preds show their stuff in a gold and white scrimmage.
Behind goals from Eric Robinson, Tyson Spink and Jack Dougherty, the gold team topped team white by a 3-1 final. Colton Sissons tallied for white in the first game action many of the players had been a part of since last spring.
"The battle level just spikes up right away," Sissons said of the scrimmage. "You get those puck battles in the corners and there's not too many bodies out there, so we're double shifting a little bit and getting our lungs back. That part of it is great, and I think just getting that mindset when things are happening pretty quickly now and just getting back to that game feel is important."

Sissons and his teammates were anxious to gauge themselves in a game setting with preseason contests scheduled for this week for the Preds, including a doubleheader in Florida on Tuesday.
"I'm pumped, I'm ready to go," Sissons said. "The season is back already, and I'm looking to make a good impression, play confident and hopefully find myself on the roster opening day."
Calle Jarnkrok, Viktor Arvidsson, Miikka Salomaki, Austin Watson and Kevin Fiala were also among the scrimmage participants on Sunday. Goaltenders Juuse Saros, Jonas Gunnarsson, Mark Visentin and Zachary Sawchenko each saw time minding the nets.

Preds players P.K. Subban, Mike Fisher, Craig Smith and Anthony Bitetto were also on hand to sign autographs as part of the second birthday celebration for Ford Ice Center.
