Nashville, TN - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Saturday that the club has placed forward James Neal on injured reserve and recalled forward Frederick Gaudreau from Milwaukee (AHL).
Neal leads the team in goals this season with 14, and has totaled 20 points in 33 games. He has missed the last two contests due to injury. Nashville is 9-2-1 in games in which Neal scores.
Gaudreau has appeared in eight games for the Preds this season. He earned his first NHL point with an assist on Nov. 29 at Colorado. Gaudreau has posted 14 points (5g-9a) in 24 games with Milwaukee in 2016-17. The NHL recall is his third of the season (also: 10/22, 11/26).
