The Predators aren't letting the pause to the 2019-20 season slow their work and commitment to their fans, and neither are their partners.

PEDIGREE has been a long-time advocate of pet adoption and, through "Dogs on Zoom," the team has been able to further their commitment to helping dogs find their loving, forever homes.

During this time of social distancing and shelter-in-place orders, many people are turning to pets for companionship. As a result, PEDIGREE has seen record rates of fostering, and shelters across the country are bracing for a time when they could be flooded with pet surrenders as these orders are lifted. The PEDIGREE brand wanted to help share the new best practice of virtual adoption, making it easy for people to find their new best friend, and for adoptable pets to find their forever homes.

"The PEDIGREE brand's purpose is finding forever homes for dogs in need," Mars Petcare North America Vice President of Marketing Craig Neely said. "With the current pandemic, we wanted to make sure we could continue bringing that purpose to life, while also prioritizing the safety of prospective pet parents and shelter employees. PEDIGREE's 'Dogs on Zoom' program has been such a success - after the first event, every dog that was featured had an adoption application in the system. We're thrilled that PEDIGREE has been able to support contact-free virtual pet adoptions, while also helping shelters build the digital capabilities they need to make virtual adoptions a reality."

Through "Dogs on Zoom," the company has partnered with several shelters across the U.S. to host virtual adoption events. PEDIGREE is covering the cost of adoption fees for dogs adopted through the Zoom events. Their pilot event took place in May with Nashville Humane Association, one of their local partners. The response to the program has been incredible, and PEDIGREE is excited to continue hosting events with shelters across the U.S. Information on shelters and program dates can be found at MeetYourNewDog.com.

We'll all get through this together, and your favorite hockey team - and its proud partners - are there to assist.
