Nashville, Tenn. (January 14, 2021) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the team recalled forward Cole Smith from the taxi squad and assigned forward Lukas Craggs to Chicago (AHL).

Smith, 25 (10/28/95), signed a one-year contact with the Predators in March after closing out a four-year collegiate career at the University of North Dakota. The 6-foot-3, 216-pound left wing recorded a career-high 11 goals and 18 points in 34 games last season as a senior, helping the Fighting Hawks win the NCHC regular-season title. Smith, who was named an alternate captain for North Dakota last season, posted 51 points (24g-27a) in 137 career games for the school.
Craggs, 24 (5/16/96), has posted nine points (3g-6a) in eight games with the ECHL's Florida Everblades to begin the 2019-20 campaign. Last season, his first as a professional, the 6-foot, 190-pound forward skated in 23 games with Milwaukee (AHL), recording six points (3g-6a); he also chipped in 11 points (6g-5a) in 12 games for the Everblades.
