Nashville, TN - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Monday that the club has recalled forward Pontus Aberg from Milwaukee (AHL).
Aberg leads the Admirals in points (52), goals (31) and power-play goals (15) in 56 games this season, while ranking second in shots (166). He owns two points (1g-1a) in 15 games for the Preds this season. Aberg scored his first NHL goal on Nov. 17 at Ottawa in a 5-1 victory.

The Stockholm, Sweden, native played in two playoff games for the Predators last season, including the longest game in franchise history on May 5, a 4-3 three-overtime Predators victory over San Jose at Bridgestone Arena. He totaled 13:26 of ice time in the two contests, both wins for Nashville.
The Preds will face the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round of the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs. They open the series on Thursday at 7 p.m. CT in Chicago, and Game Two will be played on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. Games Three and Four will be played at Bridgestone Arena on Monday, April 17, and Thursday, April 20.
