Nashville, TN - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Tuesday that the club has claimed defenseman Brad Hunt on waivers from St. Louis.
Hunt, 28 (8/24/88), has appeared in 30 NHL games over parts of four seasons with Edmonton and St. Louis and totaled eight points (2g-6a). He has earned five points (1g-4a) in nine games for the Blues this season. The blueliner recorded a career-high four-game point streak from Dec. 9-15 (1g-3a), which included his second goal of the season on Dec. 13 at Bridgestone Arena in a 6-3 Predators victory.
Undrafted, Hunt played the first three seasons of his career with the Oilers and was signed as a free agent by the Blues on July 2, 2016. He earned 41 points (13g-28a) in 57 games with the Bakersfield Condors (AHL) in 2015-16.
