As far as mid-season trades go, it's been about as seamless as possible for Kyle Turris.
Acquired from Colorado in a three-team deal on Nov. 5, the 28-year-old centerman has posted three goals and 13 points in 14 games with the Predators, fitting in brilliantly between wingers Craig Smith and Kevin Fiala on a line that seems to make something happen just about every time they're on the ice.
Over the past month, Preds fans have learned just how much speed and skill Turris possesses - but did you know he fancies putting up points about as much as he does a good chocolate chip cookie?
We asked Turris about his love for desserts, among other topics.

For one, he'll fit right in with his musical tastes:
Turris says he enjoys most music, including country, and Nashville-based rock band Kings of Leon is "probably one of my favorites, if not my favorite band."
But he wishes he could have a jam sesh:
"I don't have a musical bone in my body, but I wish I knew how to play something. Piano, guitar, drums, those would all be cool to learn."
He's been to Gotham a time or two:
"I'm a big Batman fan. We watched one of the movies from the Dark Knight series the other night. That's one of my favorite movies of all time, I love the Batman series."
He also enjoys a good binge watch:
"My wife and I go through a bunch of series. We watched Stranger Things, House of Cards, This Is Us; that one is a tear-jerker, it kills you every Tuesday night."
World travel is on his bucket list:
"I want to start doing that with my wife and see different places in the world. Greece would be neat, Italy and France, places in Europe, and it'd be cool to get over to Asia as well."
His current jersey number wasn't his first choice, but it's doing the job:
"I was No. 7 in Ottawa and [Yannick Weber] is wearing that here. I wore 91 [as a member of the Coyotes], but I didn't really want to go back to 91, and then 19 was my only other number that was my favorite growing up outside of 7, but [Calle Jarnkrok] is wearing that. I wore number 8 in juniors for a year and just figured I'd go with that."
Speaking of numbers, he enjoyed them in school, too:
"Math, I love math. I'm not an English major, that's for sure."
He's never been one to turn down a dessert menu:
"I love my desserts. I love cookies and flourless chocolate cakes and cheesecakes. I've always been a sweets guy, not like candy or anything like that, but real desserts after meals."
He has three children and loves everything about it:
"Being a parent is probably the highlight of my life. It's a gong show with three of them, it's complete mayhem most of the time, but it's a lot of fun."
