The Nashville Predators can grab their third-straight win tonight when they host the Carolina Hurricanes for Scott Hartnell Night at Bridgestone Arena. It's the second and find meeting of the season between the two clubs; the Preds fell to the Canes in Raleigh back in January.
Ryan Johansen helped to deliver consecutive shootout victories over Minnesota earlier in the week, a 3-2 win on Sunday and a 5-4 triumph on Tuesday. Johansen tallied the winner on both occasions, while Juuse Saros and Pekka Rinne each earned themselves a win in the process.
There's been a welcomed reprieve for the Preds since the most recent win with a rare, three-day stretch between games. After a day off on Wednesday, Nashville returned to the ice on Thursday and Friday for a pair of late-season practices that consisted of plenty of work with the man advantage, and area of their game that has seen improvement as of late.

"The time off has been good," Preds Head Coach Peter Laviolette said. "It's not really common for us in the month of March; they typically have been busy months, but this one has a little bit of a break to it. We're trying to utilize it to the best of our advantage to rest and recover, work on things on the ice and try to do some good things."
Defenseman Yannick Weber practiced the past two days after missing Tuesday's game due to injury. Forward Filip Forsberg was absent from practice on Thursday and Friday and received maintenance days.
