Niederreiter - Johansen - Granlund
Trenin - Sissons - Jeannot
Smith - Parssinen - Jankowski

The Good Guys

  • Goaltender Juuse Saros is 17-8-4 with a 2.50 goals-against average and .927 save percentage in his last 29 games dating back to Nov. 12. His 17 wins in that time frame are the fourth-most in the NHL. Additionally, Saros owns a 21.01 goals saved above average (GSAA) since Nov. 12, the best mark in the League (per Natural Stat Trick). GSAA measures the goals a goalie prevented given his save percentage and shots faced vs. the NHL average save percentage on the same number of shots.
  • Roman Josi (12g-31a) owns the Predators team lead in points with 43. He has 39 points (11g-28a) in his last 41 games after tallying an assist Saturday at Philadelphia. Josi has recorded at least one point in 14 of his last 17 contests, and he is currently on a season-high five-game point streak (7a).
  • Forsberg leads all Predators skaters with 19 goals. He has 38 points (16g-22a) in his last 43 games dating back to Oct. 22 vs. Philadelphia. He has 10 goals and 16 points in his last 18 games, including goals in three straight games from Jan. 9-12 (3g).
  • Juuso Parssinen, who made his NHL debut on Nov. 12 vs. the Rangers, has 21 points (5g-16a) in his first 36 career NHL games. He recorded his 20th career point in his 34th career NHL game against New Jersey. Among players to debut with the Predators, only three rookies have recorded their first 20 NHL points in fewer games: Craig Smith (25 GP), Alexander Radulov (29 GP) and Forsberg (32 GP). Parssinen's 21 points since Nov. 12 - his NHL debut - are tied for the third-most among NHL rookies in that time span.
  • Jeremy Lauzon's 83 hits since Dec. 27 are the fourth-most in the NHL, bolstered by his nine on Saturday at Philadelphia and Jan. 14 vs. Buffalo, the most in a game by a Predators player this season and tied for the third-most in a game in franchise history.
  • Matt Duchene has 20 points (10g-10a) in his last 22 games, including his first multi-goal game of the season on Jan. 24 vs. Los Angeles. He's recorded points in four of his last five games (5g-2a), tallying multiple points in three of those outings.
  • After opening the season with three points (1g-2a) in his first 16 appearances (Oct. 7-Dec. 12), Cody Glass owns 16 points (6g-10a) in his last 24 games. He's found the scoresheet in four of his last five contests (2g-3a), and his 16 points since Dec. 13 are tied for the third-most among Predators forwards in that time span. Glass has established career highs in goals (7), assists (12) and points (19) this season.

The Other Guys

The Coyotes visit Nashville on the second stop of a three-game road trip. Arizona has lost two consecutive games, both in overtime.
The duo of Clayton Keller and Nick Schmaltz have combined for 12 points in the last two games, each contributing six points on this road trip. Schmaltz's 13 points (6-7-13) since Jan. 22 enter Sunday third in the NHL, trailing only Dougie Hamilton (14 points) and Matthew Tkachuk (14 points).

All-Time Meetings

The Predators are 41-30-(2)-6 all-time against the Coyotes, including a 26-11-(2)-1 record at home. This is the second of four matchups between Nashville and Arizona in 2022-23 and the second and final at Bridgestone Arena.
Nashville is 1-0-0 against Arizona this season, earning a 4-3 shootout win on Nov. 21. Mikael Granlund and Josi both had a goal and an assist in the victory.

Notables vs. Arizona

  • Duchene owns 26 career points (13g-13a) against Arizona, the most among Predators skaters.
  • Josi has 14 points (6g-8a) in his last seven games vs. the Coyotes, including a four-point effort on Nov. 13, 2021 (2g-2a).
  • Coyotes goaltender Connor Ingram was claimed on waivers from Nashville on Oct. 10. He made his first three career NHL starts with the Predators and started three of Nashville's four postseason games in 2022.
  • Arizona goaltender Karel Vejmelka was selected by the Predators in the fifth round (145th overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft.

Last Time Out

Nashville improved to 11-11-3 on the road in 2022-23 with Saturday's OT win over Philadelphia. The Predators closed out their two-game regular-season series against Philadelphia with a 1-1-0 record.
Nashville is now 6-6 in overtime/shootouts this season (4-5 in OT; 2-1 in shootout). It was Nashville's first OT game since Dec. 31 at Vegas, and the Preds did not allow a power-play opportunity for the second time this season and first since Nov. 29 vs. Anaheim.
Duchene scored his 10th career OT goal, and his four overtime goals since the 2021-22 season are tied for the fourth-most in the NHL. He added an assist on a goal by Nino Niederreiter, who scored for the first since Jan. 12 at Montreal. Lauzon matched his season high in hits with nine, while Tanner Jeannot and Parssinen recorded fighting majors; it was the first of Parssinen's NHL career.
