New this year! A Virtual Race option has been added for the 6.6K only. Registration for the Virtual Race will open August 1 and participants must register online. Participants will receive an email the week of the race with further instructions on how to submit their official time. Virtual Race participants will receive a shirt and medal after race day and only after submitting a virtual race time on the Mario Lemieux Foundation website. Virtual Race registration closes on October 7.

Fundraisers who raise additional funds will be eligible for the following prizes (in addition to the minimum prizes listed above):
- Raise $500 to receive: Pittsburgh Penguins 6.6K Run and Family Walk custom hat
- Raise $1,000 to receive: Mario Lemieux, Jake Guentzel, Patric Hornqvist or Matt Murray Autographed Pittsburgh Penguins Puck (randomly selected)
- Raise $2,500 or more to receive: 16" x 20" 2016 Stanley Cup canvas signed by Mario Lemieux and Sidney Crosby
The Top 3 Overall Fundraisers, based on fundraising totals on RunSignUp at 11:59 PM EST on Sunday, October 7, will each receive:
Two Tickets to the Penguins/Avalanche Game on December 4, 2018 at PPG Paints Arena.
If you register as a "3.3K Family of Four" and choose to fundraise, only your team captain will be registered as an official fundraiser and be eligible for the fundraising prizes. If you want to register the other three walkers as fundraisers, please contact [email protected].
By joining a fundraising team, you have committed to raising a minimum of $166. If you have not raised this minimum amount by October 7, 2018 at 11:59 PM EST, you will not receive your fundraising prize package at packet pick-up.

Over 300 volunteers are needed for the 2018 Pittsburgh Penguins 6.6K Run and Family Walk presented by Highmark on October 14, 2018. All volunteers must register using our volunteer website by

Volunteer opportunities are listed on the volunteer website. Each volunteer much register individually and provide contact information.
Additional information, like parking and arrival instructions, will be emailed to you prior to race day.
All volunteers will receive a custom short- sleeve performance shirt with "VOLUNTEER" on the back. Please provide your shirt size during the registration process.
Children 17 & under must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
