ST. PAUL, MN - After the Oilers ended up on the losing end of a goalless stalemate on Sunday against the Winnipeg Jets, the club held an optional skate on the ice of the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
Goaltender Mike Smith stopped all 23 shots, but the winning blows from the Jets came in the shootout after offence on both sides of the rink were held off the scoresheet for 65 minutes.
