Status report

Goaltender Steve Mason, who faced 22 shots in Manitoba's 5-4 win over Iowa (American Hockey League) on Friday, will travel to New York on Sunday to meet the Jets before their Tuesday game against the New York Rangers. Maurice said Trouba will have a contact practice on Thursday, but he does not expect the defenseman to play on the road trip. Maurice said Lowry is "a little further out, but not far." Winnipeg's coach said Tanev is ready to play, but he does not want to change the lineup.
