Martinez, a defenseman, left in the first period of a 4-2 loss at the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday and did not return after blocking a shot. Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy did not have an update following the game and the Golden Knights did not hold a morning skate Wednesday. ... Marchessault did not play in Los Angeles, but is on the two-game trip and is expected to return against the Ducks after missing the past two games with a lower-body injury. ... Gibson will start after being unavailable the past five games because of an undisclosed injury. He was initially injured in the second period of a 7-0 loss at the Toronto Maple Leafs on Dec. 13.
