Winnipeg recalled defenseman Julian Melchiori from Manitoba of the American Hockey League on an emergency basis to replace Enstrom. Melchiori will skate with Tyler Myers.
Maurice will also move rookie Nic Petan to the first line with center Mark Scheifele and right wing Blake Wheeler.
"I've liked the way he has looked when he has come up," Maurice said. "There is some balancing with this too with [Mathieu] Perreault (concussion) out."
Drew Stafford will move to the second line as the Jets continue to battle a crush of injuries. Last in the Western Conference, Winnipeg has lost nine of its past 12 games and 15 of its past 19 home games as a four-game homestand continues.
"As far as the dynamic [of the team], you have to rely on the experience and veterans that you have to [get through it]," Stafford said. "Nobody in here is happy with where we're at [and] with what happened this [season]."
Goaltender Ondrej Pavelec will start for the Jets and oppose Jacob Markstrom.
The Canucks begin a three-game road trip having lost four straight games. Alexandre Burrows will be on the top line with Daniel and Henrik Sedin. Coach Willie Desjardins will also move Brendan Gaunce to center. Jared McCann will play on the wing.
"It's kind of two-fold," Desjardins said of the moves with Gaunce and McCann. "One, it's to look at Gaunce [at center]. The other is to look at McCann on the wing."
Vancouver has been shut out in each of its past two games.
"Not scoring has been frustrating," Canucks center Bo Horvat said. "At the same time….we've scored goals all [season], there is no reason why we shouldn't [Tuesday]."
