The Predators are 10 points ahead of the Los Angeles Kings for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Western Conference. They are one point behind the St. Louis Blues for third place in the Central Division. Center Mike Fisher participated in the morning skate and could play. He has missed four games with a lower-body injury. The Predators are 7-2-0 in their past nine games and have won seven of their past eight home games. "I think just keep playing like we've been doing," forward Filip Forsberg said. "Obviously last game (a 4-1 loss to the Boston Bruins on Tuesday) was a little [setback], but other than that I think we've been playing pretty good hockey. We've been playing hard defensively and scoring goals as well so just try to stay with that and improve if we can." Peter Laviolette will coach in his 1,000th NHL game. He's 516-360-25-98 with the Predators, Carolina Hurricanes, New York Islanders and Philadelphia Flyers. "It's been such an honor for me just to be here coaching and working with so many great people along the way," Laviolette said. "Great coaches, great players, great organizations and great cities. I feel lucky to be a part of it."
