The forward was acquired in a trade with the Anaheim Ducks for forward Devin Shore on Monday. Cogliano has 11 points (three goals, eight assists) in 46 games this season and has never missed a game because of injury in his 13 NHL seasons; he was suspended two games for a hit against Los Angeles Kings forward Adrian Kempe on Jan. 14, 2018.
The Stars have lost two straight after going 5-1-1 in their previous seven games.
The Lightning, with the best record in the NHL, look to avoid consecutive losses for the second time this season; they're 10-2-0 in their past 12 games, 18-2-1 in their past 21 and have scored at least four goals in 12 of their past 16 games.

Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov, the NHL leader in assists (53) and points (75), has 33 points (10 goals, 23 assists) in his past 17 games, and multiple points in nine of his past 12.
Stars forward Tyler Seguin has 11 points (six goals, five assists) in his past eight games.
