San Jose Sharks center Joe Thornton scored 30 seconds into Game 3 of the Western Conference First Round series against the Los Angeles Kings at SAP Center on Monday.

Thornton beat Kings goalie Jonathan Quick with a wrist shot from the inside edge of the right faceoff circle to put the Sharks ahead 1-0. It was his first goal of the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

San Jose led the best-of-7 series 2-0.
