TORONTO - Carter Hutton will be between the pipes tonight in Toronto, where the Blues meet the Maple Leafs with both teams coming off their bye weeks (6 p.m. CT, FSMW, FSGO, KMOX).
"I just try to contribute when I can," Hutton said after Tuesday's morning skate. "A lot of things are out of my control, so when I do get in there, I just try to compete and play well. I've always played a limited role, so when you get a chance to play, you try to take advantage of it.

"The highs and lows of this League, especially being a goalie, there are a lot of peaks and valleys," Hutton added. "I think through experience you learn to stay pretty level headed and just chip away at it. For me, I don't look too far ahead or at what's behind me. I just chip away at it each game at a time."
Blues Head Coach Mike Yeo said Hutton deserves to start tonight.

"There's been a lot of talk about Jake (Allen), and that's understandable," Yeo said. "No. 1, he's not solely to blame for the losses he's gotten (lately), but also he would be the first to admit there's another level to his game. We're confident he'll get there. He'll get back in. He's working hard in practice - he had a good practice today - and I know that he'll turn it around."
