. Ryan Johansen, who has not played against his former team in Columbus since being traded to Nashville last January, is not expected to play tonight.
It's the third of six preseason games on Nashville's schedule and first of two against Columbus. The Preds split their preseason doubleheader in Florida on Tuesday, falling to the Panthers 4-1 in the first game before prevailing 2-1 in the later outing.

Tonight's contest in Ohio gives the Predators another chance to continue implementing the parts of their game they expect to have in working order by opening night on Oct. 14.
"When you get your team going, you're looking to get your identity back and how you want to play the game, everybody being on the same page with that, and that starts from Day One in practice and you bring that to the games," Preds Head Coach Peter Laviolette said. "It's a process through training camp and getting ready for the start of the season. Nobody's going to be perfect at the beginning, but you want to be as detailed as you can when you start."
Tonight's game against the Blue Jackets can be heard on 102.5 The Game and the Predators Radio Network. Fans can also stream the game on NashvillePredators.com on desktops only.
After tonight, the Preds return home to host the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night at Bridgestone Arena in the first of two preseason home games for the team.
Prior to that evening's puck drop, the Predators will host a full afternoon of events leading up to the first preseason home game in Smashville. The festivities will include a special unveiling you will not want to miss, annual Skate of the Union address featuring Preds players and Executives, and a plaza party.
The Preds are also hosting a PENCIL Foundation and Nashville Predators Foundation School Supply Drive and encourage fans to bring new notebooks, notecards and glue sticks to donate prior to the game.
